Job Title: Director Facility Manager


Location: Pune

Overview of the Role:


The Facility Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end facility operations, workplace management, and infrastructure services across offices. The role demands expertise in managing high-performing IT workplaces, ensuring compliance, safety, cost-effectiveness, and superior employee experience.


Key Responsibilities:


Facility Operations & Maintenance


- Manage day-to-day facility operations across multiple sites, including housekeeping, security, cafeteria, transport, mailroom, and front office.


- Ensure uninterrupted functioning of all building systems electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire & safety, UPS, and DG operations.


- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with vendors and AMC partners.


- Oversee office space management, seating allocations, and workstation readiness for new joiners.


Vendor & Contract Management


- Manage end-to-end vendor lifecycle including selection, negotiations, performance review, and renewals.


- Ensure SLAs and KPIs are met for all facility service providers.


- Evaluate cost optimization opportunities and drive operational efficiencies.


Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE)


- Implement workplace safety programs and compliance with statutory regulations (PF, Fire, ISO, etc.).


- Conduct periodic fire drills, safety audits, and risk assessments.


- Partner with internal security and EHS teams for emergency response readiness.


Budgeting & Cost Management


- Prepare and monitor annual facility budgets, including capex and opex.


- Track and report on monthly expenditures, ensuring alignment with organizational cost targets.


- Identify cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or employee experience.


People & Stakeholder Management


- Collaborate with HR, IT, Admin, and Business leaders to deliver a seamless employee experience.


- Lead a team of facility executives, housekeeping staff, and security personnel across shifts.


- Manage escalations and ensure proactive issue resolution.


Projects & Sustainability


- Support new office setup, renovation, or expansion projects in coordination with real estate and project teams.


- Drive sustainability initiatives energy management, waste reduction, and green workplace initiatives.


Qualifications & Skills:


- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or related discipline (MBA preferred).


- 12+ years of relevant experience managing facilities in IT/ITES/technology organizations.


- Strong knowledge of building management systems (BMS), HVAC, and power systems.


- Excellent vendor management, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.


- Hands-on experience with CAFM tools and workplace management systems.


- Strong analytical, budgeting, and reporting skills.


- Exposure to ISO, EHS, or similar audit frameworks preferred.
