POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Senior Vice President / Director of Environment, Heritage & Regulatory Approvals owns the clearance architecture that determines whether and how fast major real estate developments can move forward. Environmental clearance represents the single longest pole on nearly every large site, alongside adjacent regulatory regimes including heritage and hospitality.

The objective of this role is to establish appraisal-stage visibility before applications are filed, creating a proactive clearance strategy integrated directly into project design and planning rather than operating as a reactive approvals desk.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

- Background: Retired or transitioning senior officer from the environment and forestry bureaucracy such as the Indian Forest Service (IFS), or a senior technical/administrative role within MoEFCC, a State Pollution Control Board (SPCB), or the Expert Appraisal Committee ecosystem.

- Industry Standing: Established, genuine credibility and standing with current MoEFCC, ASI, and regulatory leadership.

- Mindset: Comfortable operating within commercial real estate and construction clearance timelines rather than traditional policy-focused timelines alone.
