Director of Engineering Job Purpose: - We are creating a new team in India to extend our product development capabilities, helping us hit our upcoming milestones and capitalize on the growth opportunities they will unlock. - The India team will initially extend the back-end and web front-end engineering capabilities of the US-based team as we work toward the rebuild and relaunch of Lumosity. - As we approach the relaunch, we envision growing the India team into a product development hub that can drive business-critical pieces of our consumer, medical, and research roadmaps. Site Leader (Director Of Engineering): - The India Site Leader will be responsible for building and managing the development team in India & for working collaboratively with cross-functional teams in the US to deliver high-quality digital health and digital medicine products. Responsibilities: - Hire, manage, and mentor a high-performing engineering team. - Develop a deep understanding of the system architecture and code base, and share this expertise with the team through technical discussions and reviews. - Work closely with engineers to identify and resolve performance issues, continuously improving the team. - Develop and maintain software development best practices and standards. - Partner with US-based Product leadership to define and execute company product development strategy. - Partner with US-based engineers to define and maintain strong technical architecture across software products. - Ultimately responsible for rapid, iterative software development that unlocks innovative new features for Lumosity users. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. - 5+ years of experience building engineering and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced startup environment. - Demonstrated ability to design and implement software architecture. - Proven track record of delivering high-quality consumer apps in a timely manner. - Experience with some or all of Node.js, Typescript, Flutter, microservice architecture using AWS Lambda.
