Description:
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Data Science leader to drive the data vision for Connect and Heal. This role will spearhead advanced analytics, machine learning initiatives, and data-driven decision systems across clinical, product, and business functions. The ideal leader combines technical depth with business acumen transforming complex healthcare datasets into insights that enhance patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and organizational scale.
Responsibilities:
- Team and Leadership: Build, lead, and coach a high-performing team of data scientists, analysts, and ML engineers. Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and delivery excellence.
- Analytics and Modeling: Lead development of predictive, prescriptive, and causal models for patient care pathways, resource optimization, risk prediction, and operational forecasting.
- Data Infrastructure and Governance: Partner with engineering to establish scalable data platforms, ensuring data accuracy, governance, compliance (HIPAA-like), and ethical AI principles.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with clinical, operations, engineering, marketing, and product teams to embed data-driven decision frameworks across the business.
- Communication and Influence: Translate complex analyses into clear insights and narratives for leadership, clinicians, and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Strong command of Python, SQL, R, and modern ML frameworks.
- Experience with cloud ecosystems (AWS/GCP/Azure) and big-data stack (Spark, Hadoop, etc.).
- Proven ability to work with large clinical/healthcare datasets, EMR/EHR, or claims data (preferred).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related technical discipline (PhD preferred).
- 8 - 15 years of data science experience with 3+ years leading data teams.
- Healthcare analytics experience is a strong advantage.
