Director Data Engineering: Delivery role

Requirements:

- 15-21 years of overall experience.

- Strong background in Data Engineering Delivery teams.

- Must be from IT Services / Consulting organizations.

- Experience managing global delivery for enterprise/Fortune 500 customers.

- Hands-on experience in Delivery Management, Program/Portfolio Management, and Customer Success.

Business & Leadership Experience:

Candidates should have proven experience in:

- P&L ownership with revenue and profitability accountability.

- Account Mining and growing existing customer accounts.

- Revenue Growth and portfolio expansion.

- Margin management and profitability improvement.

- RFP / Proposal support, solutioning, and delivery feasibility assessment.

- Customer stakeholder management.

- Managing customer escalations and ensuring high CSAT.

Delivery & Operational Expertise: 500+ people management skills:

- Ownership of end-to-end project delivery, delivery quality, timelines, and risk management.

- Resource planning, budgeting, capacity planning, and offshore team management.

- Experience setting up scalable delivery processes and driving operational excellence.

- Leading large onsite-offshore delivery teams and mentoring Delivery Managers/Engineering Managers.

Technical Background:

- Strong understanding of Data Engineering, Data Analytics, and Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).

- Experience delivering large-scale data platforms, data pipelines, and analytics solutions.

- Ability to work closely with architects and engineering teams on scalable data solutions.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- Experience working with Fortune 500 clients.

- Demonstrated experience in consulting-led engagements.

- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and executive presence.

- Ability to balance business growth, delivery excellence, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
