Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned leader to serve as the Director - COO for our Corporate Banking Global Capability Center (GCC) in India. In this pivotal role, you will act as the operational backbone of the organization, orchestrating complex banking workflows, driving digital transformation, and ensuring seamless service delivery across global markets. You will partner closely with global business heads, technology leaders, and regional stakeholders to align operational strategy with the bank's overarching corporate objectives. By optimizing processes and fostering a culture of operational excellence, you will directly influence the bank's efficiency, risk posture, and ability to scale in a competitive financial landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct end-to-end corporate banking operations, including trade finance, cash management, and credit administration, to ensure high-quality service delivery for global clients.
- Architect and implement long-term operational strategies that enhance productivity, reduce cost-to-serve, and support the bank's growth trajectory.
- Lead large-scale transformation initiatives by integrating automation and advanced analytics into core banking processes to drive operational agility.
- Manage complex stakeholder relationships across international jurisdictions, ensuring strict adherence to global regulatory standards and internal compliance frameworks.
- Mentor and develop high-performing leadership teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the GCC environment.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale banking operations with a deep understanding of corporate banking products and the associated regulatory landscape.
- Proven ability to bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution, effectively translating organizational goals into actionable operational roadmaps.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior global executives and navigate complex matrixed organizational structures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a track record of driving process re-engineering and digital transformation in a high-stakes environment.
- A postgraduate degree in Management or Finance from a premier institute, complemented by 15 to 25 years of progressive experience in the banking sector.
- High degree of adaptability to a hybrid work environment, with the ability to lead distributed teams across multiple time zones while maintaining operational cohesion.
