Director - Consulting - Healthcare/Life Sciences Sector

Our client is a global consulting firm specialising in large-scale transformation, value creation, carve-outs and turnaround programmes.

They are experiencing strong growth across APAC and have recently appointed a senior leader to head their ASEAN Healthcare & Life Sciences Practice.

As part of this growth journey, the firm is seeking a Director to join its Healthcare & Life Sciences practice in Malaysia. Working closely with the Practice Head, the successful hire will play a key role in scaling the business, leading client engagements, and driving growth across the region.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced consultant with a strong track record in Healthcare & Life Sciences consulting, transformation programmes, value creation initiatives, and private equity-backed engagements. The role is ideally suited to individuals who are keen to help build a practice, contribute to business development efforts, and remain hands-on in the delivery of high-impact client work.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the growth and development of the ASEAN Healthcare & Life Sciences practice.

- Lead complex transformation, performance improvement and value creation engagements for clients across the healthcare ecosystem.

- Advise clients on operational improvement, cost optimisation and growth opportunities.

- Work on private equity transactions, commercial due diligence and post-deal value creation initiatives.

- Build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships across client organisations.

- Contribute to business development efforts, proposal development and practice-building initiatives.

- Lead multidisciplinary consulting teams and drive successful project execution.

Your Background

- Prior consulting experience is required, ideally with a leading global consulting firm

- Strong experience within Healthcare & Life Sciences consulting is preferred.

- Experience delivering large-scale transformation, operational improvement, value creation or turnaround programmes.

- Exposure to private equity transactions and post-deal engagements is highly desirable.

- Demonstrated ability to lead client relationships and manage senior stakeholders.

- Track record of combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

- Stable career progression with strong tenure across previous roles.

- Willingness to relocate to Malaysia.
