Description:
- A high-impact executive leadership role driving end-to-end technology delivery across architecture, engineering, platform operations, security, data, and AI-enabled verification systems. The role requires a deeply technical, hands-on CTO who can challenge engineering assumptions, accelerate AI-led development practices, and ensure world-class infrastructure, security, scalability, and global compliance standards.
Working closely with the Chief Transformation Officer and leadership team, the CTO will play a strategic CXO and board-level role while leading technology transformation, innovation, operational excellence, and scalable platform growth across the
- Own, evolve & deliver a multi-year engineering roadmap aligned to business growth targets approved by the CEO.
- Lead the evolution of the new core platform which runs on cloud-native, microservices architecture (AWS/GCP/Azure), and own the long-term Tech strategy..
- Champion AI-first, automation-heavy engineering workflows including AI-assisted coding, code review, and testing tooling.
- Ensure technical decisions are commercially grounded, balancing build vs. buy vs. partner tradeoffs with clear cost-benefit analysis.
2. Engineering Excellence:
- Own end-to-end engineering delivery for the new platform, which includes considerable document processing within a regulated sector doing B2C, B2B & B2G
- Ensure platform scalability to support tens of millions of verifications annually with sub-second response benchmarks.
- Drive consolidation of legacy systems and new platform into a unified, right-sized engineering organisation reducing headcount costs while increasing output & quality.
- Establish shared platform thinking: standardised base platform for most clients; complex bespoke builds reserved for high-value contracts.
3. AI, Data & Intelligent Automation:
- Build and deploy point solutions for increased for automated document verification.
- Implement fraud detection engines
- Leverage LLMs and AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) to radically increase engineering velocity and reduce cost per output.
