The Director - Category Management will lead end-to-end category strategy, including assortment planning, pricing, promotions, vendor partnerships, and P&L ownership. This role will drive category growth, profitability, and market competitiveness by leveraging consumer insights, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration with sourcing, supply chain, marketing, and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own overall category P&L including revenue growth, margins, and inventory health
- Define and execute long-term category strategy aligned with business objectives
- Lead assortment planning, range architecture, and new product introductions
- Drive pricing, promotions, and trade spends to maximize profitability
- Build and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers and brands
- Use data, consumer insights, and market trends to identify growth opportunities
- Work closely with supply chain to ensure optimal availability and inventory turns
- Lead, mentor, and develop category management teams
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and finance for integrated execution
