Role: Business Development Head Education Segment
Location: Delhi NCR
Reports To: Segment Director Education
Team Size: 45 Direct Reports
Travel: Frequent (Pan-India)
Annual Business Target: ~100 crore in new business
Role Purpose:
This leadership role is responsible for driving growth in the education segment through strategic business development, client acquisition, account expansion, and high-performing team management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the annual business development strategy for the education segment.
- Identify and acquire large institutional clients across schools, colleges, and universities.
- Strengthen relationships with existing clients to maximize revenue and retention.
- Lead and mentor a geographically dispersed sales team to deliver targets.
- Drive profitability while ensuring client satisfaction and service excellence.
- Collaborate with internal functions including Finance, HR, Legal, Marketing, and Operations.
- Represent the company at key education forums, client events, and industry meetings.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 15+ years of experience, including 5+ years in a senior business development or sales leadership role.
- Strong background in education, food services, facilities management, or allied service industries.
- Proven track record in managing large accounts and achieving significant revenue growth.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.
