Summary:

The person will build a new Audit Capability for our CPA client in Bangalore. CA or CPA with extensive US GAAP experience is essential. The candidate will partner closely with US Audit leaders, help recruit and develop high-performing teams, and establish world-class delivery and quality processes.

Key Result Areas:

Build a Scalable Audit team with a professional middle management in Bangalore.

Key activities will include:

- Building and scaling the Bengaluru Audit team

- Recruiting leaders and Audit professionals across multiple levels

- Evaluate team training needs and partner with U.S. L&D on implementation

- Establishing governance, quality, review, and risk management frameworks

- Driving process standardization, productivity improvements, and automation opportunities

Stakeholder Management - US & India:

Act as a bridge between US Audit leadership and the India organization.

Key activities include:

- Building trusted partnerships with Audit Partners, Managing Directors, and service-line leaders

- Understanding business priorities and translating them into execution plans

- Helping stakeholders understand what India can realistically absorb, scale, and deliver

- Driving alignment across teams with differing priorities and perspectives

Build a High-Performance Audit Culture:

Build an organization known not only for technical excellence, but also for professionalism, accountability, and strong leadership.

Key activities include:

- Establishing clear expectations around ownership, responsiveness, and execution excellence

- Coaching team members through ambiguity, change, and growth

- Ensuring culture scales alongside headcount

What you will bring:

- 15+ years of experience building, scaling, and leading US Audit teams out of India

- Demonstrated experience leading complex engagements

- Credible experience in developing managers and future leaders

- Outstanding communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills

- CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certification required
