Direct Tax Manager - Litigation & Compliance - CA

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with strong expertise in Direct Tax Litigation and Compliance. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in tax advisory, assessments, litigation, and corporate tax matters, with the ability to manage client engagements and represent clients before tax authorities.

Key Responsibilities

Handle direct tax advisory, compliance, and litigation matters for corporate and individual clients.

Represent clients before CIT(A), Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT), High Courts, and the Supreme Court, as required.

Manage tax assessments, scrutiny proceedings, appeals, and regulatory notices.

Advise clients on corporate taxation, international tax matters, and foreign investment structures.

Support tax planning, transaction structuring, and implementation of tax-efficient business strategies.

Ensure timely filing of tax returns and compliance with applicable direct tax regulations.

Interpret and advise on provisions under the Income Tax Act, relevant rules, and judicial precedents.

Collaborate with clients and internal teams to provide practical tax solutions and mitigate tax risks.

Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development initiatives.

Mentor and guide junior team members and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the practice.

Required Skills

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).

510 years of experience in Direct Tax Litigation and Compliance.

Strong expertise in Indian Direct Tax Laws, tax assessments, appeals, and litigation.

Good understanding of International Taxation, corporate tax advisory, and transaction structuring.

Working knowledge of allied laws such as FEMA and the Black Money Act (BMA).

Experience representing clients before tax authorities and appellate forums.

Strong analytical, drafting, research, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing abilities.
