
Job Purpose:
The Direct Equity Business Specialist will be responsible for driving and scaling Equity Broking Business by partnering closely with the Wealth Management sales team. The role will act as the business specialist for Equity Broking services, enabling the sales force, driving customer acquisition and activation, creating revenue-generating campaigns, and strengthening the overall direct equity proposition.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive Equity Broking Business:
- Own and drive the Direct Equity broking across the Wealth Management franchise.
- Drive growth in new accounts, account activation, active clients, trading volumes and revenue, identify opportunities to increase penetration among existing Wealth Management clients.
Engage & Enable the Wealth Management Sales Team:
- Engage with RMs/sales teams to drive broking business and act as the single-point product specialist for equity-related queries, propositions and sales opportunities.
- Enable RMs through regular product training, sales pitches, client propositions and objection-handling inputs.
- Identify high-potential clients and opportunities in collaboration with RMs and support conversion.
- Create easy-to-use sales toolkits, product notes and market updates to help RMs pitch equity solutions effectively.
Product Expertise & Proposition Development:
- Build strong expertise across Direct Equity offerings, including Intraday and Delivery, Commodity Trading, Currency Trading, Margin Trading Facility (MTF), Derivatives (F&O), Basket of Stocks, IPO.
Drive Contests & Revenue-Generating Campaigns:
- Design and drive sales contests, campaigns and incentive programs focused on Equity broking services.
- Monitor campaign performance, communicate progress to the sales teams and drive participation.
Experience & Qualification:
- 2 - 4 years of experience in Direct Equity, Stock Broking, Capital Markets or Retail Investments.
- Prior experience in driving Direct Equity broking business through RM-led distribution model preferred.
- Graduate degree required; MBA / relevant financial markets qualification preferred.
