- The Head of Procurement is responsible for overseeing the procurement strategy and operations of the organization.
- This role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that procurement practices align with the company's goals and budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic:
- Analyze the IT (Software & Hardware) and other needs of the organization.
- Implement Strategic partnerships with All Major OEMs (IT & non-IT category) for Domestic & Overseas businesses.
- Bench mark the existing costs against market for the various contracts for facilities and other requirements.
- Categorize purchases based on importance (value and need) and arrange rate contracts for repeat purchases.
- Identify, evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to ethical and sustainability standards.
- Manage supplier relationships, including ongoing performance evaluation, issue resolution and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Continuously scan the market to stay updated on industry trends, supplier capabilities, and pricing fluctuations.
- Understand buy vs lease arrangements and make recommendations basis organizational requirements.
Policies & Process:
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensuring the timeliness and effectiveness of goods and services.
- Devising initiatives to drive procurement performance.
People Management & Leadership:
- Must be able to lead and motivate the team to ensure that all activities align with business objectives and foster a collaborative environment.
Other Skills:
- Strong Negotiation.
- Master Data Management Process.
- Procurement Risk Management.
- Vendors Contract Management.
- Periodical MIS.
- Knowledge of GST and other applicable regulations.
Soft Skills:
- SAP ERP (MM Module must).
- P2P tools, Microsoft Office.
Education & Experience:
- Graduate / Postgraduate.
- Supply Chain Certification, if any.
- Years of experience: 15+ years of relevant Industry experience in the Indian Market focusing on IT and Non-IT facilities management, is preferred.
