Role Title:

Digital Transformation Lead

Role Context:

This role focuses on business improvement and transformation through digital enablement. The tech landscape is evolving rapidly, especially with AI, creating opportunities for business users. The role requires end-to-end ownership: identifying opportunities, piloting solutions, enabling adoption, and driving execution with partners/internal IT. Key responsibility: shortlisting and managing the right partners for delivery.

Scope & Responsibilities:

- Work across functions and divisions, learning from external companies and vendor partners.

- Run pilots, demonstrate business impact, and scale successful initiatives.

- Drive implementation through external partners or internal IT teams.

- Focus on sales (already highly digitized), while identifying opportunities in manufacturing and supply chain (currently lower digitization).

- Build business cases, track outcomes, and measure impact.

- Lead change management and influence senior stakeholders to adopt new ways of working.

Candidate Profile:

- B.E / B.Tech from top IIT (Delhi, Bombay, Madras, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Roorkee) - (Must).

- Must have business experience (consulting background not essential).

- Preferred industry exposure: FMCG, strong manufacturing companies, Indian corporates, pharma.

- Should be comfortable working with startups, piloting solutions, scaling up, and conducting benefit-cost analysis.

- Traits: inquisitive, entrepreneurial mindset, ability to unlearn/learn, drive change, action-oriented.

- Strong capability in partner evaluation and management (size, capability, industry knowledge).

- AI orientation important - ability to embed AI into business processes (e.g., forecasting in supply chain).

Organizational Context:

- Role involves working closely with business heads and senior management.

- Pidilite does not have large internal technical teams - partner-driven execution is preferred.

- Expectation: within the first year, understand business processes, shortlist initiatives, start pilots, and demonstrate impact.
