About the role :
As a Workday Design Lead, your core purpose will be to act as the Workday expert providing best in class Workday solutions to the business requirements that come in.
To do this, you will be working with Process Excellence Leads/multi-functional Teams/technical development/test colleagues to drive quality business solutions addressing the requirements of the business across a sophisticated process and IT landscape.
You will lead, participate and give Workday solutions to relevant business/scrum/project meetings.
You will partner with other Workday Technical experts to help deliver the Workday solutions required as part of internal portfolio projects particularly through the development/testing lifecycle including implementation.
You will need to understand and work on Workday enhancement requests, recognize dependencies, perform impact assessment and deliver as per the timelines.
You will work iteratively with the Process Excellence Leads/Business Stakeholders and the development team to clarify ambiguity, resolve issues and assist with additional functionality across the End to End Process development lifecycle.
As a Workday Design Lead you will be encouraged to use judgement and a high degree of creativity when faced with sophisticated and varied issues in circumstances where guidance and precedent may not be available.
Experience / skills required :
- Experience of working in a large digital organization, or shown understanding of large digital organizations operate in the context of this role.
- 6 to 8 years of hands-on configuration experience in Workday HCM.
- 2 to 3 years of hands-on configuration experience in any of the other modules (Workday Recruitment/ Absence/ Talent and Performance).
- Knowledge of HR functions and business processes (Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Compensation, Time & Leave, Benefits, Learning & HR Service Center).
- Ability to understand data loading, custom fields, objects, security configuration, workflow process and overall system configuration.
- Responsive, fast-paced decision making skills with the ability to drive business results.
- Ability to identify, analyse, and resolve problems logically and systematically.
- Strong communications skills both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail.
- Good organizational understanding.
