- Client's Group Finance Operations was set up as a vertical function in April 2011. The function spans all of Client's markets through a - hub & spoke- model, with aggregate budget expenditure c. - 100m and a resource of c. 2,500 FTE. The structure includes Shared Services Operations.  - Due to the requirements of IFRS 15, a new Revenue & Accounting service is being set up in Finance Shared Services (FSSC). The role is responsible for leading and managing the team carrying out revenue accounting activities (including month-end activities) for a number of markets.  Key aspects of the role are :  - To manage the team (of c. 20)  - Ensure the consistent application of revenue accounting policies and procedures  - Revenue accounting activities (including month-end activities, reporting, reconciliations etc) are performed to the right quality and on a timely basis  - Report results and metrics back to local markets and country leads  - Work closely with local markets, when implementing new products/contracts (proposition, offer, price plan, tariff, etc.)  - Ensure appropriate controls and compliance requirements are followed  - Ability to improve processes, controls, implement automation etc. Ensure appropriate partner relationship framework in place.  - A good understanding of the standard is essential and of the wider mobile and telecommunications market preferable.   - The role will provide wide exposure to the Group's finance community. Stakeholder management and problem solving and essential aspects of the role.  - This person must be self-driven, be able to analyse and articulate complex matters and be able to engage with stakeholders at all levels.  Key account abilities and decision ownership :  - Manage revenue accounting activities (including month-end activities and related reporting/analysis)  - Ensure/enable the correct interpretation of new types of contracts and updating systems, advising on necessary master data changes  - Work closely with local markets, when implementing new products/contracts (proposition, offer, price plan, tariff, etc.)  - Ensure appropriate controls and compliance requirements are followed  - Ability to improve processes, controls, implement automation etc. Ensure appropriate partner relationship framework in place.  13-16 G and H Bands reporting :  Core competencies, knowledge and experience [max 5] :  - Strong communication skills (written, oral and presentation) to summaries and explain complex issues to a variety of audiences.  - Strong in team management, processes and controls, problem solving  - Good excel and analytical skills  - Good command of English  Must have technical / professional qualifications :  - Experienced or qualified accountants(min 5 years post qualification experience)
