Purpose of the Role:

Lead the Design & Engineering function for Static Equipment, Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Skids, and Process Heating Systems. Responsible for engineering excellence, project execution, technical compliance, product development, cost optimization, and team leadership while ensuring timely delivery of customer projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the design and engineering team responsible for Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Static Equipment, and custom-engineered process systems.

- Manage end-to-end engineering activities from proposal stage through detailed design, manufacturing support, testing, and commissioning.

- Ensure compliance with ASME, TEMA, PED, API, and other applicable international design codes and standards.

- Review and approve mechanical design calculations, thermal design, equipment sizing, stress analysis, fabrication drawings, and technical documentation.

- Drive standardization, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives across products and projects.

- Provide technical leadership and guidance to Design, Projects, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality teams.

- Collaborate with Sales and Proposals teams for technical bid evaluation, costing, and customer specifications.

- Monitor project schedules, engineering budgets, resource planning, and technical risk management.

- Support manufacturing and shop-floor teams in resolving engineering and fabrication challenges.

- Lead product improvement initiatives focused on performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost reduction.

- Ensure timely release and control of drawings, BOMs, engineering change notices, and technical documents.

- Drive innovation, digital engineering practices, and engineering automation initiatives.

- Develop and mentor a high-performing engineering organization.

Qualification & Experience:

- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

- 20+ years of experience in Design & Engineering of Static Equipment.

- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.

- Strong experience in design of Pressure Vessels, Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers, Process Heaters, Reactors, Columns & Towers, Skid-Mounted Systems, and Industrial Process Equipment.

- Experience working with EPC contractors, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Power, Process Industries, or Industrial Heating sectors preferred.
