Role Objective
To drive institutional business for the organization by acquiring, nurturing, and managing relationships with Family Offices, Treasuries, Corporates, and other large investors.
The role involves promoting Mutual Funds, AIFs, and other investment products while expanding the firms institutional AUM footprint.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow institutional AUM across Mutual Funds and AIFs.
- Build and manage strong relationships with Family Offices, Treasuries, Corporates, Banks, and other large investors.
- Identify and onboard new institutional clients; deepen wallet share from existing relationships.
- Pitch investment products, with a focus on AIF, Liquid, Debt, and Equity funds.
- Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and investor needs to provide insights for product positioning.
- Collaborate with product and investment teams to deliver client-centric solutions.
- Achieve sales targets, ensuring sustainable growth in line with business objectives.
- Represent the organization at industry forums, events, and client interactions.
Candidate Profile
Experience: 7-15+ years (depending on level) in Institutional Sales / Treasury / Wealth / Private Banking.
Backgrounds to target:
- AMC / Mutual Fund (Institutional Sales)
- Wealth Advisory / AIF Distribution
- Private Banking (Institutional / Family Office connects)
- Broking (institutional coverage e.g., Nirmal Bang, Motilal Oswal, etc.)
- Bankers with Treasury & Institutional relationships
Skills & Attributes
- Proven track record of raising and managing large AUM (e.g., liquid funds, AIFs).
- Access to key institutional networks (Banks, Corporates, Family Offices).
- Strong product knowledge across MF, AIF, PMS, Debt, Equity.
