Job Title : DVP / VP - Compliance (Credit Cards)

Location : Mumbai

Experience : 8-15 years

Qualification : MBA (preferred)

Role Overview:

This is a senior compliance role within the Credit Cards business, responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, particularly those mandated by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). The role requires close coordination with business, risk, and central compliance teams to drive regulatory compliance, governance, and control frameworks across the vertical.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as the primary point of contact for all RBI-related compliance matters within the Credit Cards business.

- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data submitted to RBI, including regulatory returns, offsite reporting, and onsite inspection requirements.

- Drive and coordinate impact assessment of new regulatory guidelines, circulars, and notifications, ensuring timely implementation across the business.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely submission of Board/Business Head (BH) attested responses and closure of observations arising from RBI inspections and internal/external audits.

- Lead the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program for the Credit Cards business to strengthen internal control frameworks.

Oversee filing of all RBI returns owned by the business, including:

- Coordination with data feeder units

- Ensuring data integrity and reconciliation

- Adherence to strict timelines

- Ensure all proposals related to new or existing products/processes comply with the New Product and Process Approval Policy, including:

- Review of product notes

- Validation against regulatory and internal compliance requirements

- Work closely with the Central Compliance team to promote a strong compliance culture across business units through continuous engagement and awareness initiatives.

Key Requirements:

- 8-15 years of experience in compliance, regulatory reporting, or risk management, preferably within Credit Cards / Retail Banking.

- Strong understanding of RBI regulations, regulatory reporting frameworks, and inspection processes.

- Experience in handling RBI audits, inspections, and regulatory submissions.

- Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and drive compliance initiatives across business teams.

- Strong analytical skills with high attention to data accuracy and governance.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- Prior experience in Credit Cards / Retail Assets compliance is highly preferred.

- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.

- Demonstrates an entrepreneurial mindset, taking ownership and proactively identifying compliance risks and solutions.
