The DVP Compliance will lead and strengthen the compliance framework across the organization, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulatory, statutory, and governance requirements relevant to the housing finance / NBFC sector. The role involves driving regulatory compliance, policy governance, audits, risk mitigation, and stakeholder management while fostering a strong compliance culture across business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance & Governance:

- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations issued by:

- National Housing Bank (NHB)

- Reserve Bank of India (RBI)

- Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA)

- Companies Act and other applicable laws

- Monitor regulatory updates and assess business impact.

- Develop, review, and implement compliance policies, SOPs, and frameworks.

- Ensure timely filing of regulatory returns, disclosures, and certifications.

Compliance Monitoring & Risk Management

- Design and execute compliance monitoring programs across branches and corporate offices.

- Conduct periodic compliance reviews and gap assessments.

- Identify compliance risks and recommend corrective/preventive actions.

- Track and close audit observations and compliance issues.

Audit & Regulatory Inspections

- Coordinate with internal audit, statutory auditors, and regulators during inspections.

- Prepare responses to regulatory observations and ensure timely closure.

- Maintain readiness for RBI/NHB inspections and compliance reviews.

AML / KYC Oversight

- Oversee implementation of KYC/AML policies and processes.

- Ensure compliance with anti-money laundering regulations and suspicious transaction reporting requirements.

- Conduct periodic AML/KYC training and awareness programs.

Stakeholder Management

- Partner with legal, risk, operations, credit, HR, and business teams to ensure compliance alignment.

- Present compliance reports and dashboards to senior management and board committees.

- Act as a key advisor to leadership on regulatory and governance matters.

Training & Culture Building

- Drive compliance awareness initiatives across the organization.

- Conduct training sessions on regulatory requirements, ethics, and governance standards.

- Promote a proactive compliance culture and ethical business practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

- Professional qualifications such as CA, CS, LLB, MBA, or Certified Compliance certifications preferred.

Experience

- 1218 years of experience in compliance, legal, risk, or regulatory functions within:

- Housing Finance Companies (HFCs)

- NBFCs

- Banking or Financial Services sector

- Strong understanding of RBI/NHB regulations and compliance frameworks.
