Job Title: Deputy Plant Manager
Location: S.B Road, Pune (On-site)

Reporting To: Expatriate Operations Manager
Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on and adaptable Deputy Plant Manager with 6-8 years of experience to help establish and lead operations at our new manufacturing facility located at S.
B Road, Pune, with options for remote work at other locations.
This role will be pivotal in building the plants operational foundation, leading local teams, and collaborating with global stakeholders to ensure a safe, efficient, and high-performing manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Culture
- Foster a safety-first, accountable, and inclusive culture at the facility.
- Lead by example to create a collaborative and results-driven team environment.
- Bridge local and international operations by acting as a cultural and operational liaison.
Team Building & Development
- Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training production, logistics, and support staff.
- Build and develop a high-performing team capable of adapting to business growth.
- Mentor and coach team members to cultivate future leaders.
Operational Execution
- Manage day-to-day manufacturing operations, equipment maintenance, and production scheduling.
- Collaborate with Safety, Quality, Facilities, and HR teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Drive process improvements focused on safety, efficiency, and quality.
Planning & Scalability
- Support scalable production planning aligned with business growth targets.
- Assist in implementing systems like ERP and quality standards appropriate for a growing operation.
- Ensure resources and infrastructure meet production demands.
Communication & Coordination
- Provide regular updates and performance insights to global and regional leadership.
- Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and supplier teams to maintain smooth operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- 6-8 years of experience in manufacturing or plant operations leadership.
- Experience working in startup or scale-up manufacturing environments preferred.
- Strong people management and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Familiarity with Indian regulatory, labor, and safety requirements.
- Fluent in English and Hindi (Marathi or other local languages a plus).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
- Technical degree or relevant professional experience in manufacturing, engineering, or operations.
- Exposure to Lean or continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
Working Conditions
- Flexibility to work outside standard hours during the ramp-up phase.
- Balance of hands-on shopfloor presence with strategic and administrative tasks.
- Occasional travel for training or supplier visits
