Deputy Manager/Senior Manager - Vendor Development

Hiring: Team Member - Vendor Development (Assistant Manager and Senior Manager)

Location: Kolkata (Head Office)

Department: Procurement

We are looking for a technically strong and commercially driven professional to join our Procurement team, focusing on vendor development for advanced materials used in battery and energy storage applications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for Silicon, Aluminum, and Carbon-based specialty chemicals

- Conduct supplier audits covering manufacturing capability, quality systems, and EHS compliance

- Ensure adherence to global regulations (REACH, RoHS, TSCA, GHS)

- Drive quality consistency, investigate deviations, and implement CAPA

- Develop a robust vendor base to ensure supply continuity and mitigate risks

- Collaborate with R&D for material trials and performance evaluation

Lead cost analysis, supplier negotiations, and commercial evaluations

Requirements:

- B.Tech / M.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, Electrochemistry, or related fields

- 5-10 years of experience in vendor development, technical procurement, or chemical/battery materials sourcing

Key Skills:

- Strong knowledge of chemical processes, material specifications, and regulatory compliance

- Supplier evaluation and audit expertise

- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
