Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager with strong expertise in plastics raw material sales, business development, customer relationship management, and supply chain coordination. The role will focus on managing and growing existing customer businesses, developing new sources and markets, supporting key accounts, and expanding the product portfolio across PVC, PP/PE, specialty polymers, and engineering plastics.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in plastic raw material sales and marketing, a strong understanding of polymer products and applications, and the ability to manage both commercial and customer-facing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and grow the existing PVC business, while developing new sourcing opportunities across markets such as China, Thailand, and Indonesia.

- Drive business revival and development initiatives across new and existing PVC applications, with responsibility for achieving defined gross profit targets.

- Support the Honda business by ensuring regularized local stock availability and smooth supply to HMSI.

- Develop and maintain business for specialty polymer products, including specialty PP/PE grades, Easy Peel grades, Metallocene products, and related materials.

- Build and strengthen relationships with customers, understand their product requirements, and drive business growth across assigned accounts.

- Manage and expand the PVC copolymer, homopolymer, and paste resin business by retaining existing customers and increasing volumes.

- Develop the customer base for biopolymers and other emerging polymer products.

- Explore new business opportunities across ABS, compounds, engineering plastics, and other specialty materials.

- Identify new customers, applications, and market opportunities to expand the company's polymer business.

- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely sourcing, inventory availability, and customer supply.

- Monitor market conditions, pricing, competition, customer demand, and polymer industry trends to identify commercial opportunities.

- Support pricing, commercial negotiations, sales planning, and business reviews with customers and suppliers.

- Track sales, margins, volumes, inventory, and customer performance and provide regular business updates to management.

- Ensure effective coordination between sales, sourcing, supply chain, logistics, and customers to maintain smooth business operations.

- Resolve customer and supply-related issues promptly and drive continuous improvement in service and business performance.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 5 - 10 years of experience in plastics, polymers, petrochemicals, or a related industry.

- Strong hands-on experience in plastic raw material sales and marketing.

- Experience handling products such as PP, PE, specialty PP/PE, PVC resins, engineering plastics, compounds, or similar polymer products.

- Strong understanding of polymer applications, product grades, customer requirements, and commercial aspects of the plastics industry.

- Experience managing existing customer accounts while developing new customers, applications, markets, and sourcing opportunities.

- Good understanding of supply chain management, inventory planning, sourcing, and customer supply coordination.

- Experience working with suppliers, distributors, manufacturers, and large industrial customers.

- Strong customer relationship management and business development skills.

- Good commercial acumen with an understanding of pricing, margins, volume growth, and profitability.

- Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to independently manage priorities and respond quickly to customer and business requirements.

- High level of ownership, integrity, commitment, and relationship-building capability.

- Willingness to travel for customer, supplier, and business development activities as required.
