
Role Overview:
The Deputy Manager - Sales will be responsible for driving sales and business development activities across the automotive business, with a strong focus on OEM and Tier-1 customer management, new business acquisition, revenue growth and customer relationship management.
The role will manage the complete sales cycle, including market development, customer identification, enquiry generation, RFQ management, costing, quotation, commercial negotiations, order acquisition and customer relationship management.
The incumbent will work closely with Engineering, Program Management, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance and R&D teams to understand customer requirements, develop competitive commercial proposals and ensure successful execution of customer programs.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage sales and business development activities for automotive OEM and Tier-1 customers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Identify new business opportunities and generate enquiries/RFQs.
- Manage the complete RFQ-to-order process in coordination with internal teams.
- Prepare commercial proposals, costing and quotations.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Program Management, Production, Quality and Finance teams for customer requirements.
- Track sales forecasts, customer schedules and business targets.
- Support price negotiations, annual price reviews and commercial discussions.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
- Develop customer-specific business plans and achieve revenue targets.
- Support new product launches and customer development programs.
- Prepare sales MIS, pipeline reports and management presentations.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer issues and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- 7 - 12 years of experience in Automotive Sales / OEM Sales / Auto Components.
- Experience handling Tata Motors, Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Toyota, Bajaj, TVS or other OEM customers will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OEM sales, RFQ, quotation, costing and commercial negotiations.
- Good communication, negotiation and customer-management skills.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings and business development activities.
