
Responsible for procurement, vendor development, and cost optimization in the automobile/auto ancillary sector. The role involves supplier identification, negotiation, audits, and ensuring compliance with ISO/IATF standards while supporting localization and new component sourcing.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute procurement of raw materials, components, and services.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers (domestic & international).
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contracts.
- Monitor vendor performance (QCD) and drive cost- saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with APQP/PPAP/IATF requirements.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Production teams for supplier development.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of automobile components & supply chain.
- Negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP/PPAP.
- Proficiency in ERP/SAP and MS Office.
Qualifications & Experience
- B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical / Automobile / Production / Industrial Engineering).
- MBA in Supply Chain / Operations preferred.
- Assistant Manager: 4-7 years in purchase/vendor development.
- Dy. Manager: 8-12 years with leadership experience.
