Deputy Manager - Mantainance

Job Summary:

The Deputy Manager Maintenance will support plant maintenance operations to ensure high equipment availability, operational reliability, and compliance with safety and quality standards. This role involves leading preventive and breakdown maintenance activities, supervising teams, reducing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within an automotive manufacturing environment.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

- Plan, execute, and monitor preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance for production equipment and plant utilities.

- Ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability with minimal production disruption.

- Lead and supervise maintenance engineers, technicians, and contract workforce across shifts.

- Coordinate with production and quality teams to align maintenance schedules with manufacturing plans.

- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring breakdowns and implement corrective and preventive actions.

- Ensure strict compliance with safety, statutory, and quality norms (ISO/TS/IATF 16949, EHS guidelines).

- Support TPM, Kaizen, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Manage spare parts planning, inventory control, vendor coordination, and AMC management.

- Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and KPIs using CMMS/EAM systems.

- Assist in equipment installation, commissioning, and process improvements for new and existing lines.

- Support audits (internal, customer, and external) and ensure timely closure of action items.

- Drive energy efficiency and cost-reduction initiatives within maintenance operations.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of automotive manufacturing equipment and maintenance processes

- Hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation systems
