
Position Summary : Deputy Manager/Manager-HR
Industry Background: Consumer Durables, Automobile OEMs, Cement, Paper, Tyres etc
IT Skills: Exposure to SAP, MS Office, Success Factors (HRMS)
Role Purpose:
The role will be responsible for driving strategic and operational HR initiatives across India and international locations, with a strong focus on HR policy benchmarking, expatriate management, talent acquisition, performance management, leadership development, and HR digital transformation. The role requires partnering with business leaders to build a high-performance culture, strengthen organizational capabilities, and support business growth through innovative people practices.
Key Accountabilities:
Strategic HR Policy & Governance:
- Develop and implement HR policy design across India and Africa regions to ensure competitiveness, compliance, and alignment with business objectives.
- Evaluate global HR best practices and recommend policy enhancements.
- Ensure adherence to local employement laws, statutory requirements, and corporate governance standards.
Expatriate Management:
- Manage end-to-end expatriate lifecycle including international assignments, relocation, onboarding, repatriation, compensation structuring, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with global mobility partners, payroll, finance, and legal teams.
- Provide advisory support on expatriate policies, taxation matters, and cross-border employment considerations.
Talent Acquisition (India & International Locations):
- Drive recruitment strategy and execution for India and overseas operations.
- Partner with business leaders to identify workforce requirements and ensure timely talent acquisition.
- Build talent pipelines for critical positions across levels.
- Strengthen employer branding and candidate experience initiatives.
- Manage executive search engagements and recruitment partners across geographies.
Performance Management & Leadership Development:
- Drive the organization's performance management process, including goal setting, mid-year and annual performance reviews.
- Drive performance reviews and goal setting for the entire business by strengthening the job description and KRA-KPI process.
- Co-ordinate with the internal training team on the development of potential candidates and arrange for necessary training requirements
HR Digitalization & Transformation:
- Drive implementation, enhancement, and optimization of HRMS platforms (Success Factors).
- Manage HR technology projects covering employee lifecycle, talent management, performance management, and analytics.
- Leverage HR analytics and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
- Operational experience in SAP SuccessFactors and administration will be highly preferred.
Global & Cross-Cultural Exposure:
- Ability to work effectively with foreign nationals and expatriate leadership.
- Exposure to Japanese, Korean, and Chinese business environments preferred.
- Ability to manage assigned work schedules as per different time zones.
