Deputy Manager/Manager - Global Sourcing

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard international suppliers and exporters across key product categories.

- Build long-term partnerships with growers, traders, and aggregators in major sourcing geographies.

- Lead negotiations on pricing, commercial terms, and quality standards to ensure a competitive and reliable supply base.

- Monitor global market trends, seasonal availability, and freight dynamics to support strategic sourcing decisions.

- Collaborate with internal demand, category, and supply planning teams to align sourcing initiatives with business objectives.

- Documentation & Operations

- Oversee all import-related documentation, including contracts, invoices, shipping papers, and compliance certifications.

- Coordinate with logistics partners and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless shipment execution, customs clearance, and quality checks.

- Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, customs requirements, and phytosanitary standards.

- Maintain an updated supplier database and track performance metrics such as cost, quality, and delivery reliability.

Candidate Profile:

- 4-6 years of experience in international sourcing, procurement, or tradingpreferably within fresh produce, perishables, or similar categories.

- Strong exposure to global markets and supplier development.

- Solid understanding of import documentation, compliance processes, and logistics operations.

- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and build networks from the ground up.

- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management capabilities.

- Willingness to travel internationally for supplier visits, audits, and trade fairs.
