Job Title: Deputy Manager/Manager - Finance Location: Ennore, Chennai (On-site), Tuticorin (On-site) Experience: 5+ years Industry: Port Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced finance and accounts professional from Port industry to join a leading conglomerate in India who would be responsible for managing finance, accounts, and taxation. This role is integral to the finance team, ensuring compliance, strategic financial planning, and efficient cash flow management. As part of the team, you'll work in a dynamic environment with opportunities to shape financial processes and drive efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Compliance: - Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, ensuring timely submissions as per statutory requirements. - Prepare and submit standalone and consolidated financials on a quarterly basis. - Maintain cash flow, asset depreciation, and bank reconciliation statements. Tax & Audit Management: - Ensure timely tax payments and submission of tax returns, handling service tax audits, and liaising with authorities to minimize tax litigations. - Provide information for audits (statutory, internal, IFC, and transfer pricing audits) and respond to audit queries. - Develop corrective action plans for audit findings to ensure non-recurrence. Accounts Payable & Receivable: - Manage timely payments to vendors based on cash-flow, oversee issuance of letters of credit, and handle accounts receivables from third-party customers. - Monitor bills payable, cash flow, and credit management, ensuring adherence to policies. Strategic Planning & Budgeting: - Prepare and present the annual business plan for management review and approval. - Conduct variance analysis on the balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow statements in comparison with budgeted values. - Capitalize fixed assets in alignment with accounting standards and update the asset register. Risk & Financial Control: - Implement internal financial control measures across the organization. - Oversee risk management audits, maintain insurance coverage for assets, and liaise with statutory bodies. Requirements: - Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's in Finance or relevant field or Chartered Accountant (C.A.) - Experience: 5+ years in finance, accounts, and taxation from Port industry. - Skills: Strong analytical and numerical skills, excellent communication skills, and adaptability. - Characteristics: Self-starter, resilient, able to work in dynamic environments.
