Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Deputy Manager of Learning & Development based in Chennai. The role involves designing, developing, and delivering training programs to enhance employee skills and organizational performance. Responsibilities include managing learning initiatives, implementing effective learning management systems, and promoting leadership development. The Deputy Manager will collaborate closely with teams to identify training needs and create impactful instructional content to meet organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Learning Design & Development:
- Design and develop engaging learning programs, workshops, and training modules using modern instructional design principles.
- Build content for behavioural, functional, and leadership development programs.
- Develop digital and blended learning solutions including e-learning courses, videos, and toolkits.
Training Delivery & Facilitation:
- Conduct classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training sessions for employees at various levels.
- Facilitate leadership development sessions and behavioural skills workshops.
- Ensure high-quality learner engagement and strong post-session feedback.
Training Needs Analysis (TNA):
- Work closely with business teams, HRBPs, and department heads to identify capability gaps.
- Conduct TNA, skill-gap analyses, and employee surveys to determine training priorities.
- Create an annual learning calendar aligned with business objectives.
Learning Program Management:
- Plan, implement, and manage end-to-end learning initiatives and development projects.
- Track participation, training hours, program completion rates, and behavioural outcomes.
- Partner with external trainers, vendors, and institutes when required.
LMS & Learning Tools:
- Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure seamless content deployment, tracking, and reporting.
- Leverage digital learning tools, assessments, and analytics to enhance learning impact.
Leadership Development:
- Support the design and execution of leadership development pathways for emerging and mid-level leaders.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and performance excellence.
Evaluation & Impact Measurement:
- Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, assessments, and ROI metrics.
- Prepare learning dashboards and reports for management reviews.
Job Requirement:
- Proficiency in Training & Development and Learning Management
- Strong expertise in designing and delivering Training programs and Instructional Design
- Experience in Leadership Development and creating programs that foster growth
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams
- Proven ability to evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, Education, or a related field
- Experience in a similar role within the corporate or professional environment is advantageous
