Role Summary:

We are seeking a high-energy, result-driven Home Loan Sales Manager (Deputy Manager) to lead our mortgage acquisition efforts in the Chennai market.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth across Home Loans and Loans Against Property (LAP) by implementing strategic market entry plans and managing high-value client relationships.

You will act as a pivotal link between the bank and its stakeholdersincluding builders, connectors, and direct customersto exceed aggressive sales targets.

The ideal candidate blends deep mortgage product knowledge with superior influencing skills to navigate the competitive retail lending landscape while ensuring total regulatory compliance.

Technical Responsibilities:

- Strategic Sales Growth: Drive the acquisition of new customers for Home Loans and Mortgage products, consistently achieving and exceeding monthly disbursement targets.

- Mortgage Product Mastery: Execute sales strategies for a diverse portfolio, including Fresh Home Loans, Resale Loans, Balance Transfers (BT), and Loan Against Property (LAP).

- Market Expansion & Analysis: Conduct detailed market mapping in Chennai to identify high-potential builder projects, upcoming residential hubs, and competitor pricing trends.

- Channel Partner Management: Build and nurture a robust network of DSA (Direct Selling Agents), connectors, and real estate developers to ensure a consistent lead pipeline.

- Lead Conversion & Acquisition: Oversee the end-to-end sales funnel, from initial lead sourcing and financial eligibility checks to the final login and sanctioning of files.

- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with high-net-worth clients and corporate stakeholders to facilitate repeat business and referrals.

- Team Mentorship & Performance: Provide continuous training and mentorship to the frontline sales team, focusing on objection handling, product USPs, and sales closure techniques.

- Compliance & Regulatory Rigor: Ensure every loan file adheres to the banks credit policy, KYC norms, and RBI guidelines to maintain portfolio quality.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with the Credit, Operations, and Legal teams to streamline the documentation process and improve the Turnaround Time (TAT) for loan disbursements.

- Sales Strategy Implementation: Translate organizational goals into actionable local sales plans, adjusting tactics based on real-time market feedback and competitor activities.

- Customer Experience Optimization: Ensure a seamless onboarding experience for borrowers, addressing grievances and providing transparent communication throughout the loan journey.

Required Technical Skills:

- Product Knowledge: Expert understanding of mortgage products, interest rate structures (Floating/Fixed), and legal/technical nuances of property valuation.

- Sales Analytics: Ability to analyze sales funnels, track conversion ratios, and utilize CRM tools for pipeline management.

- Credit Understanding: Basic proficiency in assessing customer creditworthiness via CIBIL reports and financial statement analysis.

- Market Networking: Strong existing connections within the Chennai real estate and builder community.

- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and Tamil (preferred for local market interaction).

Key Competencies:

- Result Driven: A relentless focus on meeting and exceeding "Disbursement" and "Login" targets.

- Influencing & Negotiation: Skilled at persuading high-stake partners and closing complex mortgage deals.

- Responsive Leadership: Ability to react quickly to market changes and provide immediate support to the sales team and clients.

- Problem Solving: Adept at resolving documentation hurdles and credit bottlenecks to ensure timely closures.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Education: MBA in Marketing or Finance is highly preferred.

- Experience: Proven track record in a leading Private Bank, NBFC, or HFC (Housing Finance Company).

- Certifications: Any relevant certifications in Banking, Mortgages, or Sales Management
