Deputy Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis - Insurance Brokerage Firm - CA

We are hiring a Deputy Manager for a global insurance brokerage firm.

We are looking for CA qualified candidates with more than 8 years of relevant post qualification experience in FP&A role.

Primary Responsibilities :

- Prepare accurate monthly financial reports, assist in the preparation of presentations that provide thoughtful analysis, identify action items, and effectively frame decisions that need to be made.

- Review, process, gather, and compile accounting transactions and documents throughout the month for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with general accounting principles and established internal control policies and procedures.

- Ensure financial integrity and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes.

- Partner with stakeholders across Divisional Financial Operations to improve financial and accounting accuracy.

- Review and investigate reconciliation variances, assisting management to develop appropriate action plans addressing issues identified

- Provide support for internal and external audits including control walkthroughs, documentation support and inquiry response

- Provide FP&A finance support to the accounting teams related to productivity, demand planning, reporting, and metrics in a timely manner.

- Partner directly with the finance team and onsite FP&A groups to collaborate on metrics, goals, and business reviews

- Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement

- Budgeting and Forecasting, data extractions use of diverse financial systems.

Skills & Responsibilities :

- Good working knowledge of accounting standards (US / UK GAAP/IFRS), account reconciliations, and month end close experience

- Proficient with Microsoft suite of products Excel & PowerPoint

- Management : This role will require team management and stakeholder management capabilities

- Hands on experience in at least one area Accounting or FP&A is necessary.

- Exposure to both the Close (Financial Accounting) and Planning (Management Accounting) side of Finance is preferred.

- Domain : Domain strength & capabilities on Accounting, Reporting and/or FP&A is required.

- Process Transformation : Candidate should clearly be able to articulate ideas on Finance Process Transformation, Automations and Analytics. Candidate should have demonstrated this in his current/previous roles.

- Controls/Audits/Regulatory environment : Candidate should have been exposed to Audits, and should be aware of running regulated processes with due importance to the Control Framework
