Position: Deputy Manager Finance, Internal Audits. Company: Listed manufacturing company. Location: Barbil, Odisha. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct pre-audit and post-audit of Purchase Orders (PO), Work Orders (WO), and Invoicesreviewing all key documents (quotations, NFAs, DOFP, cost sheets, etc.) and ensuring statutory compliance. - Execute internal audit fieldwork independently across plant functions such as Finance, Production, PPC, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase & Payables. - Maintain and monitor Risk Control Matrices (RCM) across processes. - Analyze data and operational metrics to assess risk, identify red flags, and suggest process improvements. - Prepare audit reports, discuss findings with stakeholders, and track closure of open issues with regular follow-ups. - Participate in special audits, vigilance assignments, and fraud detection exercises. - Support HODs in reviews, presentations for Audit Committee, and preparation of Action Taken Reports. - Ensure final audit reports reflect agreed recommendations and adequate supporting evidence. - Contribute to strengthening SOPs, company policies, SAP controls, and delegation of powers. - Provide timely updates for internal MIS and maintain daily validation logs. - Willingness to travel as per business requirements. Qualifications/ competencies: Education: MBA / ICWA/ ICWA Inter / CA Inter. - 57 years of experience in internal audits at plant sites (preferably in the Manufacturing / Steel industry). - Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills. - Sound understanding of audit practices, statutory compliance, and internal controls. - Proficiency in SAP and audit tools. - Excellent communication, collaboration, and reporting skills. - Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
