Deputy Manager - Finance & Accounting - Manufacturing

Description:

The person responsible for accurate valuation, accounting, and control of inventory across Raw Materials, WIP, and Finished Goods at the Greater Noida manufacturing plant. The role requires close coordination with production, stores, SCM, and finance teams to ensure proper accounting controls, compliance, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee inventory accounting, valuation, and reconciliation for the plant.

- Ensure timely and accurate closing of inventory-related accounts (RM, WIP, FG, consumables).

- Monitor and analyze inventory movements, consumption, and variances between physical and system stock.

- Validate and control standard costs, BOM accuracy, and ensure cost roll-ups in ERP.

- Conduct periodic stock verification and ensure reconciliation with the General Ledger.

- Review provisions for slow-moving, obsolete, and non-moving stock as per company policy.

- Handle scrap and rejection accounting in coordination with production and quality teams.

- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring adherence to Ind AS and corporate policies.

- Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors for inventory verification and reporting.

- Drive process improvements and automation in inventory and cost accounting processes.

- Prepare and present inventory MIS reports, movement analysis, and inventory turnover metrics to management.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of inventory valuation, standard costing, and cost control in a manufacturing setup.

- Good understanding of plant operations, BOM, WIP, and material flow.

- Hands-on experience in Oracle/ ERP systems

- Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities.

- Proactive coordination with cross-functional teams (Production, SCM, Stores, Quality).

- Working knowledge of Ind AS 2 Inventories and related accounting standards.
