We have been mandated by a large conglomerate for the below mentioned position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position title: Deputy Manager - Finance & Accounts

Department: Accounts & Finance

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)

Experience: Min. 3- 8 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably in manufacturing industry

Location: Boisar

Systems Exposure: SAP FICO (mandatory) & MIS reporting skills

Role Summary:

The Deputy Manager-Finance & Accounts will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, bank reconciliation, accounts payable & receivable management, financial reporting (MIS), and supporting costing & budgeting activities. The role ensures accurate financial records, statutory compliance, and timely financial reporting in alignment with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Day-to-Day Accounting Operations

- Ensure accurate accounting of all financial transactions in SAP (FICO).

- Monitoring of journal entries, general ledger postings, and monthly book closures.

- Review and control of expense accounting, accruals, and provisions.

- Ledger scrutiny and rectification of discrepancies.

2. Bank Reconciliation

- Preparation and review of monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).

- Monitoring of daily bank transactions, fund movements, and cash flow.

- Coordination with banks for documentation, limits, and compliance.

3. Accounts Payable (AP)

- Vendor invoice verification and timely booking in SAP.

- Ensuring proper GRN matching and purchase order compliance.

- Monitoring payment cycles and aging of payables.

- Vendor ledger reconciliation and resolution of discrepancies.

- Ensuring statutory deductions (TDS, GST, etc.) and timely compliance.

4. Accounts Receivable (AR)

- Monitoring customer billing and timely invoicing.

- Tracking receivables aging and follow-ups with sales team.

- Reconciliation of customer accounts.

- Ensuring timely realization of receivables.

- Monitoring credit limits and exposure.

5. MIS & Financial Reporting

- Preparation of Monthly MIS reports covering:

- Profit & Loss statement

- Cost Centre reporting

- Budget vs Actual analysis

- Variance analysis

- Preparation of stock statements and submission to banks.

- Inventory aging analysis and working capital monitoring.

- Contribution to management presentations and dashboards.

6. Costing & Budgetary Controls

- Support in monthly costing (product-wise / equipment-wise).

- Material cost tracking and variance analysis.

- Assistance in departmental budget preparation.

- Monitoring budget vs actual performance.

7. Compliance & Audit Support

- Assistance in statutory audit, internal audit, and cost audit.

- Ensuring GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.

- Maintaining proper documentation and financial controls.

- Supporting implementation of internal financial controls (IFC).
