Job Title: Demand Planner
Company: Leading Pharmaceutical company
Location: Ahmedabad

Employment Type: Full-time | Permanent
Experience Required: 5 to 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical demand planning, supply planning, preferably for US or EMB Markets.
Educational Qualification:
B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B. / B.Tech (Preferred: with specialization in Production, Operations, or Industrial Engineering)
MBA / Post-Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain / Operations / Pharmaceutical Management preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure availability at the point of sale for regulated markets.
- Analyse data to identify various scenarios and business opportunities.
- Manage FG inventory at all levels according to norms.
- To plan (R- Requirements) generation and work in coordination with Supply planning teams to level the requirements-R as per supply constraints to address sales continuity.
- Resolve supply constraints by exploring alternatives for supply and batch size changes in collaboration with supply planning and manufacturing teams.
- Review confirmed manufacturing plans and identified reasons impacting finished goods availability.
- Conduct MPRM, campus S&OP, E-S&OP, and S&OP forums.
- Hold review meetings with business leads on critical project statuses.
- Keep markets informed about supply situations for monthly and short/medium-term ranges.
- Participate in marketing review meetings, addressing concerns related to forecasting variations, non-moving inventories, and budget trends.
- Collaborate with external agencies for demand planning automation tools and ensure their accuracy.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Technical / Functional Skills
- Experience in Demand Forecasting, Supply Planning, S&OP, and MRP.
- Hands-on expertise in SAP (ECC / APO); exposure to Kinaxis, Power BI, Anaplan, or Advanced Excel preferred.
- Strong understanding of pharma supply chain operations including RM/PM planning, FG dispatch, and regulatory compliance.
- Good knowledge of lead time management, capacity planning, and production scheduling.
Preferred Industry Background:
- Pharmaceuticals / Healthcare / Life Sciences / FMCG.
- Candidates from regulated market export supply chain functions preferred.
Tools & Systems Exposure:
- SAP APO / SAP ECC / SAP IBP
- Power BI / Excel dashboards
- Kinaxis RapidResponse / Anaplan / Ariba / WMS / ERP systems
