Deputy Manager - Credit - Banking/Financial Services

About the Role:

Our client is a fast-growing B2B , Agritech industry, looking for a Deputy Manager - Credit to join their finance team in Bengaluru.

This role is suited for someone who enjoys working with numbers, assessing businesses and taking ownership of credit decisions.

You will help evaluate customers, manage credit exposure and keep a close eye on the portfolio, while working with the credit and business teams to manage risk as the company scales.

Location: Bengaluru

Mode: On-site, 5 days

Experience: 2 - 3 years

Role Responsibilities:

- Review customer profiles and financial information to support credit decisions.

- Recommend suitable credit limits based on business performance and risk.

- Track customer payments, outstanding amounts and credit utilisation.

- Keep a regular check on the portfolio and highlight potential risk areas.

- Coordinate with collections on long-pending or high-risk accounts.

- Prepare accurate reports and insights for regular business reviews.

- Ensure customer credit records and documentation are complete and up to date.

- Travel to meet customers and understand their businesses firsthand.

Requirements:

- CA / MCom with 2 - 3 years of experience in credit, lending or credit analysis.

- Experience with a bank, NBFC, fintech, agritech or supply-chain finance company is preferred.

- Strong understanding of financial statements, cash flows and credit assessment.

- Comfortable working with numbers, data and portfolio-related metrics.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Good communication skills with the ability to work with sales and business teams.

- Exposure to SME or agri-business lending is a plus.

- Willingness to travel 25 - 30% across India.
