Deputy General Manager - Supply planning

Description:
Our client is seeking a seasoned Supply Planning Leader to develop and execute strategic supply planning initiatives that ensure optimal inventory levels, meet customer demand, and support business growth. This role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and expertise in supply chain optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:


- Design and implement comprehensive supply planning strategies aligned with business objectives.


- Collaborate with senior management to integrate supply planning into overall organizational goals.

Supply Chain Management:


- Oversee end-to-end supply planning processes, including demand forecasting, inventory management, production planning, and procurement.


- Ensure timely and accurate product supply to meet market demand and SLAs.

Team Leadership:


- Lead, mentor, and develop the supply planning team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.


- Set clear performance objectives, provide feedback, and conduct regular reviews.

Collaboration:


- Partner with manufacturing, procurement, logistics, sales, and marketing teams to ensure alignment across supply chain activities.


- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive collaboration and achieve shared goals.

Performance Monitoring:


- Track and analyze supply chain performance metrics, identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions.


- Leverage data analytics and planning tools to optimize processes and improve efficiency.

Risk Management:


- Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.


- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Continuous Improvement:


- Drive initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.


- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to maintain competitiveness.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:


- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; Masters degree or certifications (APICS, CSCP) preferred.


- Minimum 18 years of experience in supply planning or supply chain management, ideally within the pharmaceutical sector.


- Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making ability.


- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in supply chain planning software (SAP, Oracle, JDA).


- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
