Role Overview:


The Deputy General Manager of Supply Chain Management will serve as a strategic leader overseeing the end-to-end supply chain ecosystem for our client's operations in Gujarat. This role involves orchestrating complex logistics, procurement, and distribution networks to ensure seamless operational flow. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional leadership teams, including production, finance, and sales, to optimize inventory levels and reduce lead times. Your leadership will directly influence the company's bottom line by driving cost efficiencies and enhancing service delivery standards across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

- Direct the end-to-end supply chain strategy, including procurement, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure alignment with organizational production targets and market demand.


- Optimize inventory management systems to minimize carrying costs while maintaining high service levels for key regional stakeholders.


- Lead negotiations with vendors and logistics partners to secure competitive pricing and ensure the reliability of the supply chain network.

- Implement lean manufacturing and supply chain principles to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement in operational throughput.

- Manage and mentor large, multidisciplinary teams to foster a culture of accountability, safety, and high performance within the warehouse and logistics functions.

- Analyze supply chain data and key performance indicators to provide actionable insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale supply chain operations, with a proven track record of handling complex logistics networks in the Gujarat industrial belt.

- Exceptional ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between procurement, production, and distribution departments.

- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret market trends and operational data, translating them into robust supply chain strategies.

- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills, capable of building long-term relationships with external vendors and internal leadership.

- A postgraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or an MBA from a reputed institute is highly preferred.

- High adaptability to an on-site work environment, with the ability to manage high-pressure, fast-paced manufacturing or logistics settings effectively.

- Possession of 18 to 20 years of progressive experience in supply chain leadership roles, demonstrating consistent career growth and operational impact.
