Deputy General Manager - Supplier Quality Engineering - Interior Trims/Exterior Trims

- Thorough knowledge of commodity parts - Interior, Exterior parts & its manufacturing process like Injection Moulding, Blow Moulding, Roto Moulding, Compression Moulding, Vacuum forming, IMD (In Mould Decoration) etc.

- Provide support and involvement in new product development, identifying and driving improvements through early involvement in product development Process and completion of PPAP

- Drive collaboration with suppliers to improve manufacturing processes and monitoring results.

- Monitor supplies quality performance measures, supplier audits and Supplier Corrective Action Plan (SCAP), etc.

- Ensuring lessons learnt from similar product families are implemented for new product development as input for prevention of known issues.

Develop and ensure implementation of process norms for management of suppliers by :

- Verification of products and process at suppliers.

- Evaluation of supplier's performance and monitor the improvement plans

- Enhance technical capabilities of supplier through systems and knowledge upgradations

- Plan and Conduct Supplier process & Product audits, concern based audits as per requirements.

- Tracking, monitoring & resolution of concern reported from assembly line, Field, User plant for Trims Interior & Exterior critical part

- Perform the role of a people manager for the team

- Manage and support recruitment, set KRA's for direct reportees, monitor overall team's KRA's, conduct performance appraisal, ensure clarity and appropriate delegation of responsibility

- Facilitate the development of subordinates through constant on and off the job learning, job rotation, etc.

- To guide, motivate and develop the sub-ordinates

- Generating Quality indicator dashboard for Senior Management reviews highlighting key quality risks.

- Monitor & improve non-performing suppliers and organize periodic Quality reviews as per escalation matrix

- Guide & support team members for chronic concern resolution.

Preferred candidate profile

- Should have thorough Knowledge of Interior & Exterior TRIM Parts like - Instrument Panel assy, Cockpit, Door Trims, Floor Console, Pillar trims, Bumpers, Claddings, Roof Rails, Outer/inner patches, Decorative bezels, Inner & outer Rear View mirrors, Door handles, Seat/restraint & safety systems, Carpets & Roof liners, etc.

- Trims Manufacturing Process- Injection Moulding, Blow Moulding, Roto Moulding, Compression Moulding, Vacuum forming, IMD (In Mold Decoration), Painting, Soft trims, CMF, Fabrication & plastic welding, etc.
