Deputy General Manager (DGM) Sales - East/West Zone
About the Job:
Are you a high-achieving sales professional with significant experience in the transformer oil, lubricants, and specialty oils sector, ready to take on a more prominent leadership role? We are a market leader in the manufacturing of transformer oil, lubricants, and specialty oils, seeking a Deputy General Manager (DGM) Sales to bolster our sales efforts in either the East Zone (Assam, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar) or West Zone (Mumbai, Ahmedabad/Baroda, Silvassa).
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to directly contribute to our growth while developing your leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the GM Sales in developing and implementing strategic sales plans to achieve regional sales objectives for transformer oil, lubricants, specialty oils, and other products.
- Lead and guide a team of sales managers and executives, providing coaching and support to enhance their performance.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships to maximize sales.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adapt sales strategies as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (marketing, technical, logistics) to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient operations.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and market analyses.
- Participate in key client meetings and negotiations to close high-value deals.
- Drive initiatives to improve sales processes and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of robust sales experience in the transformer oil, lubricants, and/or specialty oils industry, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial capacity.
- MBA is required.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of sales principles, techniques, and customer relationship management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market insights.
- Familiarity with the East or West Zone market (depending on the assigned zone) is a plus.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel frequently within the assigned zone
