Job Title: Deputy General Manager - Sales Administration
Reporting To: Shared Services Head
Team Size: 8-10 members
Location: Airoli , Mumbai
Please note : We are looking for the candidates coming from top 10 pharma companies or from pharma background.
Role Objective:
The DGM - Sales Administration will lead and streamline sales support operations, ensuring efficient expense management, accurate doctor tagging, and timely MCL (Master Customer List) updates. The role will act as a critical interface between the field force, shared services, and cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Administration & Operations:
- Oversee end-to-end sales administration processes to support pan-India sales teams.
- Ensure smooth coordination between sales, finance, HR, IT, and shared services.
Expense Management:
- Lead sales force expense management including policy adherence, validation, approvals, and timely reimbursements.
- Drive process automation, controls, and continuous improvement to reduce cycle time and errors.
Doctor Tagging & Master Data Management:
- Own and govern doctor tagging processes to ensure accurate alignment with sales reps and territories.
- Manage regular updates and hygiene of the MCL (Master Customer List) in CRM/SFA systems.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements related to customer data.
Team Leadership:
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 8-10 sales admin professionals.
- Set clear KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and build a high-accountability culture.
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as a single point of contact for sales leadership on admin-related matters.
- Provide MIS, dashboards, and insights to support decision-making.
Process Excellence & Compliance:
- Drive SOP standardization, audits, and governance across sales admin functions.
- Partner with IT/shared services to enhance system efficiency and data accuracy.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong experience in Sales Administration / Sales Operations within pharma
- Hands-on exposure to expense management systems, CRM/SFA tools, and master data governance.
- Proven people management and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, process-orientation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership presence.
Experience & Qualification:
- 15-25 years of relevant experience, preferably in a large Indian pharma organization.
- Graduate / Post-graduate in Management, Commerce, or related discipline.
