Deputy General Manager - Research & Development - Cementitious Materials/Clinker Chemistry

Qualifications:

- Ph.D. in Cement Technology, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Chemistry (Preferable with research in cementitious materials, clinker chemistry, or alternative binders) OR M.Tech / M.E. in Cement Technology, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field

Experience:

- 15+ years in cement industry R&D, preferably in a large integrated plant.

- Hands-on knowledge of cement lab equipment, XRF/XRD, particle size analysis, and thermal analysis tools.

- Strong exposure to BIS/ASTM/EN testing standards for cement and concrete.

- Proven ability to translate research into commercial and process outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive applied research in cement chemistry, blended cements, alternative raw materials, and process optimization.

- Lead laboratory trials, pilot testing, and plant-scale validation of new formulations and materials.

- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and technical services for continuous process improvement.

- Monitor and evaluate cement performance against BIS standards and customer expectations.

- Manage R&D documentation, lab certifications, and statutory compliances.

- Liaise with academic institutions and external research bodies for collaborative innovation.

- Guide a team of scientists and lab technicians in analytical testing, data interpretation, and innovation strategy.
