Role Overview:
A leading automotive mobility business with a growing electric vehicle portfolio is looking for a senior quality leader to head Product Vehicle Testing (PVT) Quality for its Bangalore and Haridwar plants, with Bangalore as the base location. The role will own field quality, warranty performance, reliability growth and resolution of critical product quality concerns across electric vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive reduction in warranty repairs, warranty cost and field quality concerns through structured problem resolution.
- Own field quality escalations and act as the plant quality interface with Customer Care.
- Drive cross-functional resolution with Design, Manufacturing Quality and Supplier Quality teams.
- Lead reliability growth analysis and closure of identified issues before vehicle launch.
- Assess field risks from critical engineering changes and define appropriate validation actions.
- Build team capability, establish performance objectives and drive continuous quality improvement.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 15 - 22 years of experience in automotive product quality, field quality, reliability or related functions.
- Experience with MNC automotive organisations is required.
- Strong understanding of EV architecture, vehicle systems and subsystems, preferably 3-wheeler or 4-wheeler.
- Strong knowledge of warranty management, EV diagnostics, failure modes and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience with product development, verification and reliability analysis.
- BE / B-Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering; strong team leadership and stakeholder management skills.
