Deputy General Manager - Production/Capacity Planning

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Deputy General Manager (DGM) - Planning to lead end-to-end planning operations for a leading apparel manufacturing organization in Bangladesh. The role requires a strategic leader with strong expertise in production planning, capacity management, order execution, and team leadership. The incumbent will work closely with the CEO and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless planning and on-time delivery of customer commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the Planning function for the organization, overseeing a team of 1215 planning professionals.

- Develop and execute production plans aligned with business objectives, customer requirements, and factory capacities.

- Drive capacity planning, line loading, resource allocation, and production scheduling to maximize efficiency.

- Monitor order flow, production status, and shipment schedules to ensure on-time delivery.

- Collaborate with Merchandising, Production, Sourcing, Industrial Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth execution.

- Analyze planning metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to improve operational performance.

- Provide regular business updates, forecasts, and planning insights to senior management and the CEO.

- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and service levels.

- Ensure effective manpower utilization and team development through coaching and performance management.
