Educational Qualification:

- B.Tech / M.Tech in Food Technology / Chemical / Mechanical Engineering

- Preferred Certifications: ISO Internal Auditor, HACCP, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), TPM, Lean Manufacturing

Experience:

- 15-20 years of experience in food manufacturing / food service / processed food industry

- Strong exposure to manufacturing of sauces, gravies, marinades, condiments, canned food, and base preparations

- Proven experience in leading large teams and delivering cost, quality, and operational excellence

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Excellence

- Maintain complete control over operating costs and unit KPIs, including:

I. Process losses of Raw Material (RM), Packing Material (PM), inks & solvents

II. Capacity Utilisation

III. Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE)

IV. Productivity

V. On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) Delivery

VI. Operating Cost Efficiency

- Control material consumption and monitor abnormal variances of materials at all stocking points.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce process losses, enhance capacity utilization, and improve efficiency.

2. CAPEX Planning & Execution

- Plan, implement, and monitor CAPEX projects to ensure timely completion within approved budgets and performance benchmarks.

- Oversee project documentation, validation, and successful handover for operational use.

3. Functional & Team Management

- Manage, control, and train teams in the following functional areas:

- Stores & Inventory Management - RM, PM, Finished Goods, Engineering Spares, Consumables, Miscellaneous Items

- Plant & Facility Maintenance - Preventive and corrective maintenance systems

- Production Execution - Schedule adherence, resource optimization, and process control

- 5S, GMP, GHP, GWP Implementation - Hygiene, workplace organization, and best practices

- Quality Control - Batch testing, process checks, and consistency

- Food Safety - Compliance with FSSAI and internal FSIPL standards

- EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) - Workplace safety, audits, and environmental compliance

- Production Planning & Inventory Control (PPIC) - Coordination of production schedules and raw material availability

- Plant Administrative Processes & Procedures - Documentation, SOPs, and operational discipline

- HR Processes - Manpower planning, performance management, and employee engagement

- Plant Financial Control & MIS Generation - Tracking of costs, variances, and operational metrics

- Audit & Review Systems - Maintain objective records, conduct audits, and ensure implementation of improvement actions

- Organizational Alignment - Support FSIPL's growth plan, operational efficiency goals, and strategic priorities through collaboration and execution

4. People Development

- Design and implement structured development programs for reporting managers and key team members.

- Promote a high-performance culture through regular reviews, coaching, and capability building.

5. Industrial Relations & Statutory Compliance

- Maintain sound industrial relations and a conducive work environment.

- Ensure effective liaison with government authorities and external agencies.

- Ensure completeness and validity of all Establishment Licenses, consents, and permissions as per statutory requirements.

Key Technical Expertise:

- Strong understanding of food manufacturing operations involving sauces, gravies, condiments, and ready-to-use base preparations

- Experience in filling, packaging, and sealing lines (pouches, jars, and cans)

- Knowledge of food safety systems, HACCP, GMP, GHP, and product traceability

- Proficiency in using SAP / ERP systems and data-based performance analysis (MIS)

- Exposure to OEE improvement, yield enhancement, cost optimization, and capacity utilization

Key Success Metrics:

- Achievement of monthly production and delivery targets (OTIF)

- Reduction in process losses and material variances

- Improved OEE, capacity utilization, and productivity

- Timely and successful completion of CAPEX projects

- Compliance with food safety, quality, and audit requirements

- Strong team performance and leadership development
