Role Overview:
As the Deputy General Manager of Internal Audit, you will serve as a strategic partner to the leadership team, overseeing the end-to-end audit lifecycle to ensure robust governance and operational excellence. You will lead high-impact audits, evaluate enterprise-wide risk frameworks, and drive the implementation of stringent internal controls across diverse business functions. By collaborating closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional department heads, you will provide actionable insights that mitigate operational vulnerabilities and safeguard the organization's assets. Your work will directly influence the company's risk posture, ensuring compliance with global standards and fostering a culture of transparency and accountability that supports sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of comprehensive annual audit plans to identify control gaps and operational inefficiencies across business units.
- Design and implement rigorous internal control frameworks to ensure compliance with SOX requirements and mitigate financial reporting risks.
- Oversee IT audit initiatives to evaluate the integrity of information systems, data security protocols, and digital infrastructure resilience.
- Partner with senior management to develop and monitor enterprise risk management strategies, ensuring alignment with the organization's long-term objectives.
- Present detailed audit findings and strategic recommendations to the Audit Committee and Board, facilitating informed decision-making at the highest levels.
- Mentor and lead a high-performing audit team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex internal audit functions with a deep understanding of risk management methodologies and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Proven ability to navigate SOX compliance requirements and IT audit landscapes, ensuring seamless integration between technical controls and financial reporting.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex audit findings to executive leadership and influence organizational change.
- Strong analytical mindset, capable of translating data-driven insights into strategic business solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, or CIA is highly preferred, complemented by 15 - 19 years of progressive experience in internal audit and risk management.
- Proven track record of working effectively in a hybrid office environment in Gurugram, demonstrating the agility to manage both on-site operations and remote team collaboration.
