Job Description:
This role is responsible for overseeing and managing Employee Relations at the plant through strategic interventions and effective employee engagement. The objective is to foster a collaborative work environment, thereby maintaining positive Employee Relations.
The position involves leading initiatives to ensure cordial Industrial Relations by actively engaging with Employee Unions, and driving the negotiation and management of Long-Term Settlements.

Description:
Employee Relations and Industrial Relations:
- Lead initiatives to maintain harmonious industrial relations within the plant by engaging with employee unions, ensuring smooth functioning of committees, and managing long-term union settlements.
- Plan and execute employee engagement activities to foster a positive work environment.
Temporary Workforce Management:
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of the temporary workforce in collaboration with the shared services team to align with plant objectives.
- Implement innovative strategies to engage and retain temporary staff, ensuring optimal productivity.
Discipline, Legal, and Statutory Compliance:
- Administer disciplinary procedures based on practical application of labor laws.
- Ensure adherence to statutory compliance and manage legal matters, including labor department conciliation proceedings and court cases, in coordination with legal counsel.
Contract Labour Management & Administration:
- Supervise contract labor operations and ensure compliance with all relevant statutes.
- Oversee general administration and establishment matters supporting employees across all categories.
HR Projects:
- Design and implement HR and employee relations projects aligned with overall business strategies and objectives.
People Management:
- Drive initiatives focused on competency development for teams, aligned with current and future business needs and industry trends.
Profile:
A successful applicant for this role should have:
- MBA or MSW with a specialization in Industrial Relations and Human Resources
- 14+ years of experience in Employee Relations
- Full-proficiency in Kannada language
- Extensive experience in Long Term Settlements
- Skilled in managing union relations and the collective bargaining process
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing interventions to foster effective employee engagement
- Advanced knowledge of labor laws relevant to factory operations
- Strong understanding of conciliation procedures and labor-related court proceedings
