- NISM / NCFM Certifications in Treasury, Debt Markets, or Derivatives preferred

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Treasury professional to manage the organization's investment portfolio, fixed income trading activities, and liquidity management. The incumbent will be responsible for optimizing returns while maintaining regulatory compliance and risk management standards.

The role requires deep expertise in fixed income markets, treasury products, interest rate movements, investment strategies, and institutional relationship management.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Investment Portfolio Management :

- Execute investments in Government Securities (G-Secs), Treasury Bills, State Development Loans (SDLs), Corporate Bonds, Commercial Papers (CPs), Certificates of Deposit (CDs), and Money Market Instruments.

- Manage and optimise HTM, AFS, and Trading Book portfolios.

- Monitor portfolio yield, duration, DV01, mark-to-market performance, and risk-adjusted returns.

- Identify investment opportunities across the yield curve and credit spectrum.

- Execute transactions through approved trading platforms and market counterparties.

2. Fixed Income & Interest Rate Trading :

- Trade and monitor Interest Rate Swaps (IRS), OIS, Bond Futures, and other approved derivative instruments.

- Develop market views on interest rates, liquidity conditions, inflation trends, and yield curve movements.

- Monitor RBI monetary policy actions, liquidity operations, and market developments.

- Support Treasury and ALCO discussions through market intelligence and investment recommendations.

- Assist in duration management, interest rate risk management, and balance sheet optimization initiatives.

3. Market Research & Investment Strategy :

- Track macroeconomic indicators including inflation, GDP growth, fiscal developments, liquidity conditions, and market sentiment.

- Analyse domestic and global monetary policy developments and their impact on fixed income markets.

- Monitor credit spreads, rating actions, issuer developments, and sector-specific trends.

- Generate investment and trading ideas to enhance portfolio returns and optimise risk-adjusted performance.

4. Relationship Management :

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key market participants, including :

- Banks and Treasury Desks

- Mutual Funds

- Insurance Companies

- Pension Funds

- Provident Funds and Exempt Trusts

- Primary Dealers

- Market Intermediaries and Institutional Investors

Support investment sourcing, market intelligence gathering, trade execution, and treasury fund-raising initiatives through effective stakeholder engagement.

5. Liquidity & Treasury Management :

- Manage short-term liquidity through Repo, Reverse Repo, TREPS, and Money Market instruments.

- Monitor cash flow requirements and optimise deployment of surplus funds.

- Support ALCO presentations and investment committee reviews with market insights and portfolio analytics.

- Coordinate with Treasury Operations to ensure seamless settlement, reconciliation, and reporting of transactions

6. Risk Management & Compliance :

- Ensure compliance with RBI regulations, investment policies, and internal risk management frameworks.

- Monitor issuer limits, counterparty limits, duration limits, and concentration limits.

- Review portfolio risk metrics, stress-testing outcomes, and scenario analyses.

- Ensure timely reporting of portfolio performance, investment exposures, and regulatory compliance matters.

Desired Skills & Competencies :

Technical Skills :

- Strong understanding of Fixed Income and Money Markets.

- Expertise in G-Secs, SDLs, Corporate Bonds, CPs, CDs, TREPS, and other treasury products.

- Working knowledge of Interest Rate Derivatives and Hedging Instruments.

- Sound understanding of RBI regulations, FIMMDA guidelines, and market conventions.

- Proficiency in Bloomberg, Reuters, NDS-OM, CCIL, and other trading platforms.

- Strong analytical skills in duration management, yield curve analysis, portfolio optimisation, and risk management.

- Advanced Excel skills; working knowledge of Python, Power BI, Data Analytics, and AI-based analytical tools will be preferred.
